I received my MSS from Bryn Mawr College School of Social Work and Social Research in 2013 and a BS in Business Administration and Social Work from Elizabethtown College.
As a therapist, I take into account a person's environment, it is part of the whole person and impacts one's emotional, mental and physical well-being. Approaches I draw from include Relational, Person Centered, Trauma Informed, Culturally Sensitive, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution Focused. I work collaboratively with you and invite your feedback regarding what is working and not working for you in our therapy sessions.
In community health, I provided outpatient therapy for individuals diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I worked with people who have difficulty with anger management, a history of Trauma, childhood sexual abuse, addictions/substance abuse, domestic violence and adults with sleep issues. I have experience working with children and adolescents as a Behavior Specialist Consultant, Mobile Therapist and Outpatient Therapist.
I endeavor to provide a warm, accepting, collaborative atmosphere for our sessions, it is important to me that you feel emotionally and physically safe when we work together. Effective therapy happens with a strong therapeutic relationship between client and therapist. My strength is connecting with people and building that rapport. Therapy is about empowering you to be the person you want to be and to lead the life you want to lead.
